Incident

Descending the mountain the ground beneath my left foot broke away. My right foot was trapped behind a small rock. This caused my leg to bend sideways resulting in a torn meniscus.

Lessons

I have recorded this relatively trivial incident because I would not have been able to reach Capel Curig had I not been using walking poles. I would highly recommend the use of poles especially if walking unaccompanied
