Incident

Went off route on P4. Trying to traverse back onto route I pulled on a hold which broke and I fell onto gear (which held). Lowered to ledge. Felt very unwell, had been an unexpected fall and was 30C. I was shaking and had a headache/felt dizzy/vision was blurry. Rang Mountain Rescue as felt unable to continue/abseil. Winched from ledge. Have whiplash.

Lessons

In hindsight I should have lowered when I realised I was off route rather than traversing. I ended up on quite dodgy ground and made a poor decision. I should place gear even on easy ground but my gear did do its job and held. Be careful in heat.
