Incident
Whilst dry tooling on the route Ibex in the shock the monkey area. Myself (leader) jumped off from above the second bolt, taking a swing left. This lifted my belayer and we collided. The back of my ice axe striking their elbow (suspected fracture). We considered this a lucky escape as the potential for this to be a much bigger issue (the sharp bit punchering skin).
Lessons
Take action to negate the belayer being dragged towards the climber( use of a edelrid ohm, fixing weight to the belayer or pre clipping the third bolt.)
