Incident
After abseiling the first abseiling in the Lost World with a third hand, the lead abseiler was to protect the subsequent abseilers by tailing the rope. Once down, the to-be-third abseiler called down telling the lead abseiler to video the second abseiler's descent.
Without registering the consequencies of this, they begin recording and moving to a better view away from the rope. After the second abseiler was halfway down, the lead abseiler realises their error and hastly returns to tail the ropes.
Luckily, no incident occurred.
Lessons
Remembering agreed responsibilities to others and considering the consequencies of actions.
A step to prevent this happening would be for the lead abseiler staying tied into the system with their abseil device and third hand, preventing them from walking off. This would allow two way of arresting a fall: pulling the rope by hand or by body weight.
