Deranged (Trevallen Cliff)

We were standing close to the start of the route, as another party topped out. There was a shout from above and a toaster sized lump landed a few feet away from my partner. Wearing a helmet would have made zero difference if it had hit.

Abseil approach

Two climbers (names unknown) abseiled in to Trevellen cliff at Pembrokeshire to approach a climbing route. They were unable to climb back out (easiest route out is E1) and did not have the knowledge, skills or suitable equipment to prusik back out. They were recovered by the coastguard cliff rescue team.
