Route required a dyno at height, went for dyno, missed and landed on the edge of a thick pad which was on top of a layer of other pads to cover the gaps. Dislocated my ankle on the fall.

Fairly experienced boulderer falling from the top of the problem (~3m). The dynamic move caused me to miss the mats and land feet first on the surrounding ground. Luckily this was soft enough to not incur any serious injuries but the resulting sprain has not disappeared after more than a month.

Bouldering in Fontainebleau, last day of the trip so went straight into harder routes rather than warming up. Felt unhappy at the top of a route so decided to do a controlled jump off onto mats below. About 1.5 metres up. Two people spotting me and two mats out. As I landed my left ankle twisted badly. I had what turned out to be an open dislocation on my ankle (bone exiting leg and joint fully dislocated) requiring surgery and a long recovery - a year later and I'm still not at full capacity with what I was able to do.
