Descent of Great Gable

We were a small party. One of us accidentally dislodged a large boulder on the scree slope off Great Gable just by stepping on it. The boulder accelerated at a shocking speed and narrowly missed one of the same party. I am convinced if it had hit the participant they would have been killed. It was a wake up call on just how dangerous scree descents can be if you are below other walkers.
